Why ZAC?
Some may wonder why we chose this name. For us, this catchy acronym testifies to the richness of the French language in a world where English generally dominates the sporting lexicon.
Indeed, ZAC stands for Zone d’Action Contrôlée. Or as we affectionately call it, la Cuisine, or even sometimes, la Kitchen!
Because at ZAC, pickleball is like a good recipe:
A friendly flavor, a touch of fun and a pinch of sportsmanship!
Get ready to enjoy some delicious moments at ZAC Pickleball!
Pickleball
Pickleball is the perfect marriage of three racquet sports for guaranteed fun. It’s played on a surface the size of a badminton court, but with the net lowered to the height of a tennis court. The racket has a solid surface like ping-pong, but larger, and the plastic ball is perforated. The game is played in singles, doubles and mixed, and points are scored only by the serving team.
Although the sport has experienced unprecedented popularity in recent years, it has been part of the sporting landscape since 1965. Its growing popularity stems from the ease with which it can be learned, its social aspect and its user-friendliness for players of all ages and skill levels. It also offers a wide variety of playing styles, from powerful drives to dinking close to the net, making it attractive to a wide range of players. In short, pickleball has all the characteristics to offer participants a highly entertaining sporting activity.
